  • Advice and Actions

People naturally give out the most logical advice.  It just happens.  People most likely see situations in an arbitrary perspective and are able to give detached and succinct advice.

But strangely, no one can TAKE advice.  Even if it’s the same advice doled out, no one can seem to take their own advice.  They feel that their situations are special, that advisers don’t understand the entire situation, etc.  But what they fail to realize is that they’re just afraid of upsetting their status quo.  That’s why they refuse to take advice.  When people give advice, it’s not their own status quo that’s being upset, so there’s nothing to lose.  But when it’s your own, you become overprotective of the situation and afraid of change.  As humans, we are afraid of change, because what it may bring is uncertainty, and uncertainty is unsettling.

  • Actually, I can take advice.  I did during one time in which one of my friends was clueless about his gf being bored around him. I had the active potential to steal his gf, but I didn’t because I was told to simply be a bro and help him out. I did, and our friendship was a lot better because of it.That isn’t in all cases. I do however, when giving relationship advice, (especially if its trying to get over a bad breakup) always give no reassurance that others give (e.x you’ll get over it).  I actually tell them that it’s going to hurt, and for quite a while, even longer than they may expect.  I try not to give out advice that I wouldn’;t take myself, or that doesn’t sound rational. But I do see your point.

  • Hmmm I wish I could listen to my own advice sometimes -__-’

  • i give great advice. $2.99 a min.

  • I can take advice it’s just hard to do what someone says the way they say it. You always feel your ways better.

  • i hardly ever take advice…and i dont like change :) never thought those two could potentially be related haha i just like to trust my own gut feeling. Especially when it comes to relationships.

  • people give really bad advice, and generally it rarely works.if people cast off ignorance as they venture into adulthood the trust would be logical, but people choose to be willfully ignorant.people imho, giv out the most entertaining and humorous advice. they give advice that validates their selfs, like saying “oh you can totally jump that” or”if you ask her you wont regret it” >.>lol. anyway i’ve read through a few of your entries and you are pretty awesome accept friend invite please ;D
