ever since my neighbors moved in 2 years ago, they’ve always put on quite a fireworks show. that sparked [no pun intended] competition with every family that lives on my street. everyone’s competing with the jones’s. rich people trying to show up one another with fireworks. i swear each household on my street spends at least $1000 for fireworks now. i don’t share the joy i once did about lighting fireworks years ago. i’d rather just watch. i mean, you still get to see colored pieces of flaming gunpowder shoot through the air. but if i am to watch fireworks, i don’t want to go through the hassle of parking, traffic, & trekking through a park trying to find a good place to watch a fireworks show. that’s why i enjoy the convenience of my neighbors. as egotistical they may be, they sure make fourth of july something to see.

btw, on one of my very few fireworks was this panda thing. it was the cutest thing. ^_^
