Lesson Learned
Don’t party in Brooklyn.
Native NYC’ers always make fun of people like me for never leaving Manhattan, and so I decided to take a chance to see what the hype about Brooklyn was. I have only partied in Manhattan, and it will stay that way from now on. Granted I went to Bedstuy, but I’m never going back again. Well, at least until Sensation (cough cough @BaLob) comes to Barclay’s Stadium, but otherwise, never again.
For anyone who doesn’t know, in Bedstuy, you have to order behind bulletproof glass at all the fast food places. I had no idea that the party was here until about an hour prior, and I had already got a ticket, so I was just like YOLO.
So Friday I went out with my friend her and her high school friends. They wanted to hit up this warehouse party in Brooklyn because one of the girl’s friends was DJ’ing and she wanted to head out and show her support. We decided to go to this party instead of Sander van Doorn at Pacha, which turned out to be a big mistake.
As usual we pregame in K-Town, and we all worked up a nice buzz, but we all sobered up by the time we got there. We were just like, don’t worry, we can just flirt with some guys and they’ll buy us drinks. Unfortunately, the crowd wasn’t the type to buy girls drinks. We got out of the subway, and it was POURING. We had two tiny umbrellas for six girls, so we ran about two blocks in the rain to get to this place. We get there, and the venue already looks super sketch, and we see that the crowd is not really our style. Let’s just say we were the only Asians there.
We’re girls who like dancing on stages, so we head straight to the front, and I guess that was the “VIP” section. We tried to head up but the bouncer wouldn’t let us in. We got kicked off the stage like three times. The thing was, there were SOO MANY people on stage, but they were all really really high ugly ass dudes. Like, who wants to stare at high ugly dudes on stage?
The place was grimy and raunchy as fuck. I think my friends and I were the only girls who ever turned down any guys, while every other girl was grinding with any guy that came their way. One of the girls I were with actually did dance with a couple of guys, and damn, did she go hard. She ended up making out with one guy for almost 45 minutes. The rest of us wanted to leave, but we didn’t know how to break it up, so we decided to let her have her fun, and we’d leave after she was done.
In the meantime, the rest of us just danced with each other. All of a sudden out of nowhere, there is this guy who came up and approached one of the girls soo aggressively. Most guys there would tap us on the shoulder or arm or grab our waist or something, but this guy literally just got in her face and grabbed her so aggressively it freaked all of us out. Now, I’m the girl of the group that deals with guys who won’t back off, and my friend backed away from the guy, and he kept getting closer and closer, so I pushed him away and told him that she wasn’t interested. Then he started making racist comments, slanting his eyes, and calling us the “Asian Persuasion.” .___.” I just told that bitch to leave, and he started yelling, “My girlfriend looks better than all of you guys combined!!” And I just told him, “That’s great! Leave.” That happened three or four times, and he eventually got in my face yelling at me. I just wanted to punch him so bad, and he finally left. His friend was standing in the back laughing at him so hard. Just a note: that is not how you try to dance with a girl.
So in 45 minutes time, our friend finally finished making out with the guy and stopped dancing. We were all like YESSS TIME TO LEAVE THIS SHITHOLE. But the girl looked so confused for some reason. Turns out she lost her phone, in the worst part of Brooklyn. .____.”" Now this girl told me she’d carry my phone for me. Good thing I held onto it, because who knows what would have happened while she was riding this guy. We spent about twenty minutes “looking” for it, but we all knew it wasn’t going to turn up. They talked to security guards and bouncers and everyone, but it was all fruitless.
Once I got home, I was tired, soaked, and annoyed that my night was so bad. I ended up sitting in front of my computer ranting about it to all my friends for about two hours.
But here’s my outfit from that night:

Last night, I initially was just thinking about how to write this and meant to private it so I could write it today. But I guess I just accidentally publicly posted just a picture of my outfit. I was even talking to @junbelievable08 about how I was thinking about how I was going to write it. I’m sure he saw the post and thought to himself, “This is how she decided to write it?! .___.”"
Also my s button is broken so it like types s’s all the time without me pressing it, so if there are random s’s anywhere that’s why. I didn’t feel like proofreading.

Because…..?
Why party in Brooklyn when there’s a better show here? (smiles)

R u a good enforcer? Mary smash!!
LOL Never end up in BedStuy. Sorry, there’s much more to Brooklyn than that.
Okay, that bad rap on Brooklyn is entirely unfair, lol! That would be like someone going to one of the worst the worst neighborhoods in Harlem, visiting a sketchy place there, then proclaiming to everyone to stay out of Manhattan because of the bad experience.Bed Stuy is indeed “Frontierland” but there are much nicer more upscale places nearby. Pratt University/Clinton Hill is next door, which tells you the heights from which Bed Stuy has fallen, but will eventually rise to again. Look at what’s going on at Coney Island.A better lesson learned would be to avoid sketchy party locations in bad neighborhoods.
uhmmm…now i know to not party in brooklyn. damn people hating on asians.
Come party in San Jose =P
what do you mean you don’t just grab a girl and make her dance on you?!?!?
“We were just like, don’t worry, we can just flirt with some guys and they’ll buy us drinks. “-_____________- ”Unfortunately, the crowd wasn’t the type to buy girls drinks.”AHAHAHA”Let’s just say we were the only Asians there.”All blacks I’m guessing? I can tell, because Asians NEVER mention being the only Asians when they’re with all whites. #justsayin”Like, who wants to stare at high ugly dudes on stage?”Not I.”Then he started making racist comments, slanting his eyes, and calling us the “Asian Persuasion.” .___.”"This is about to get ugly….”We spent about twenty minutes “looking” for it, but we all knew it wasn’t going to turn up.”Really, did you ask your friend to stop looking in the other guys mouth with her tongue?Maybe next time. But guess there won’t be one.
i gained nothing from this post. lesson learned.
I wear a michael kors watch too. And I know about that watch from a funny personal experience.Mine is for mens, but it didn’t hold up too well in the men’s market, so now it’s marketed as a women’s watch -_-One time at a wine tasting, I met one of the wine hosts, who happened to love the shit out of my watch. She’s like “OMGeh’d I Love your watch, michael kors??” ”Where’d you get it??”, then she pointed to her own watch, which is the same model you have. yeah
yeah, you’re dressed a bit too sophisticated for a warehouse rave. It’s a different vibe at those, and you really need to be comfortable (difficult for many) in that kind of situation to have fun.Sensation… $170 a day, did you buy tickets? I may just buy one day, like saturday tickets. I hope my pre-sale code still works

its open for the super cool people club only I guess. I can buy, but at $170 a day.. idk
@BaLob - so the price is probably gonna go up huh… damn.
i hope not… $170 for just one day is a lot.
