  • Budgeting

    I’m bad at it.

I receive my measly biweekly paycheck of nearly $200 dollars and squander it in a week.  I’m an impulsive shopper, and if I know I have adequate funds to pay for an item, I will purchase, even if it leaves me with merely cents in my bank account.

I know it’s a product of me not truly having to take care of myself, so I take my money for granted.  Since all the money I make is simply discretionary, I take that literally and spend it to my discretion. Plus I make very little money.  I get decent pay but so few hours.  So since I make so little, I wouldn’t be able to save it and make anything of it really, so I just spend and spend and spend.

I have less than $20 in my account right now, have been waiting for my next paycheck for the past week, and have plans on how to spend at least $70 dollars of it right away. .___.”

But hey, I guess my wardrobe is pretty nice now. xD  Ah, the problems of living outside of SoHo.

  • lol I wish I could be that way.At times, I wish I could spend money on someone.@karen0z - Your picture looks funny. It makes me smile.

  • my friend used to have this problem.. I locked her money into a place she coudn’ t get it, and she was only allowed a small amount a week.  She saved over $9000. nvm not over 9000, but at least a few hundred.

  • dude i’m living off 500 a month. its the shit. fuck getting a job i’m an artist mom!!!

  • I have the same prob in the middle of every month in college. Have u seen Confessions of a Shopaholic? Nice movie!!!

  • you better start shaking your money maker.

  • by biweekly, do you mean twice a week or every other week? if you don’t make much, but have everything paid for you, then you really don’t need to save up until you make more. I make roughly 63000 a month, and I spend like 80% of it maintaining my SLR mclaren and other cars. I spend too much on sportscars.

  • It sucks to be poor but at least you have a rocking closet!

  • haha you need to definitely learn to budget, either that or walk around with a blindfold on you around SoHo.  Thank goodness I live at least an hour away from Manhattan haha!  Or do this, (this is what I tell my very compulsive buying female friends) Do you really need it?  If the answer is yes, why do you need it?  Does it improve your life by having it?  By the time you finish answering it, you’d either 1. pass the store while walking or 2. realize you don’t need it.  Works wonders!

  • in a library eh? here I am.

  • When Tiffany representing Nature’s Own contacted me last week, I assumed they were confused about what Tiffany Jewellery write about. Silver Jewellery has happened many, many times.
