So yesterday was the shooting at Westroads Mall in Von Maur, my favorite department store. The whole thing is so surreal because Nebraska has small town atmosphere, and everyone who lives here always claims it as “a nice place to raise your kids.” Well, that whole facade blew up in our faces. Omaha DOES have one of the highest crime rates in the United States, but nothing like this ever happens. But then again, things like this don’t happen to often.

You know what else is surreal? My mom was in Von Maur when it happened.

You’d expect something like this to get alot of talk around my area at least, but all everyone else is preoccupied with at the moment is that it’s snowing, and hopefully, we’ll get out of school. 1. I hate snow so I’m not going to waste my time with it, and 2. the snow pretty much almost killed me today. I do not know how to drive in snow, plain and simple. I already hate driving. I hate snow. Therefore, I REALLLLLLY hate driving in snow.
