My hair sucks. I hate new hairdressers.

  • Homosexuals vs. the Christian Church

We all know they are at odds with each other. Personally, I’m atheist, and I have completely no problem with homosexuals. They’re people as well aren’t they? Well, that’s not the purpose of this blog. Although they may condemn each other publically, I believe in this thing called Respect.

I just saw a news report on gays entering a Catholic mass in San Francisco, dressed in rainbow costumes, mocking the church’s ceremony. I don’t mind the personal dislike that gays have towards Catholicism and the exercise of the First amendment, but I mean it should be practiced in limits. I mean seriously, that was completely disrespectful and over the line. Disagreement can be portrayed in a more professional manner.

On the contrary, the church is also being ridiculous, well the far-right radicals anyway. The Fred Phelps fundamentalists now owe a military family $11 million. I think it’s well deserved. They protest at military funerals, where people are trying to reach closure. They’re outside the ceremony screaming “Thank God for dead soldeiers,” “God hates fags,” etc. RIDICULOUS! Talk about the utmost display of disrespect. Especially since these soldiers are dying for a cause that’s supposed to keep them safe.

Maybe this is just me, but I’ve learned to respect opinions and beliefs although I disagree. Maybe my asian parents better instilled the concept of respect in me than those with completely American parents.
